The Coala range was launched at Sign & Digital to meet the growing demands of the wide-format market, which according to regional marketing director Richard Champion continues to grow year-on-year, fuelled by increasing demand in high quality digital output and improvements in inkjet technology.
He said: "We have been tasked by our customers to provide a range of media which meets their requirements for quality output, breadth and ease of end use application, the need for differentiation through innovation, their requirement for environmental responsibility and all this underpinned by value for money."
The Coala collection includes 20 products for water-based ink and 54 for solvent, UV and latex inks. It contains substrates for both indoor and outdoor applications, including a broad range of papers, self-adhesives, banners, textiles, wallpapers and specialty media.
Antalis has sourced the range from leading European suppliers, primarily from Germany, and Champion said that all products have undergone a rigorous selection process.
He said: "We¡¯ve launched the range as a whole to give our customers the benefit of a single comprehensive product offer that can add value to their business quickly and simply.
"We worked with our wide-format inkjet specialist colleagues across Europe, drawing on their knowledge and market experience to put together a complete range that not only covers mainstream products, but also deals with developing markets such as textile/soft signage and wall d¨¦cor."
Antalis already sells a range of inkjet consumables under the Coala brand in other European markets and Champion said that it intended to expand the success of that range by bringing Coala into the UK.
